A short recap

Sandra Day O'Connor wasn't that great of a justice.

There I said it, now will everyone please get off of Alito's back? Come on people, really. Just because he doesn't come walking in with heels and a dress doesn't mean that he isn't qualified for the job.

It looks like the Dems. are guilty of a practice that they've spent most of today brow beating Alito with, discrimination.

A few issues they raised today were: Abortion, Racial Job Discrimination, and a 10 year old girl that was strip searched.

With the way that many were describing the incident it sounded almost as if she were taken aside and with malicious intent stripped and searched.

Now lets put hysteria aside. From what I understand the police entered the house with a search warrant for everyone and everything on the premises. The people that they were searched were suspected drug dealers and were known for smuggling drugs on people. The young girl was taken to a room with other women in the household and searched by a female police officer. This female police officer had training in this area to be professional. From what I understand neither the girl or any of the other women present were mistreated. None of them would have been scared for life by the police department.

So who should be at fault here?

1) The police officers doing their job and trying to keep drugs off the street.

2) The Judge who found nothing wrong with the police officers doing there job.

3) Or the drug dealers who openly subject heir children to an environment where they would need to be subject to strip searches because they would have used their own children as mules?

On that issue, the senators were making the wrong argument. It shouldn't have been how dare you allow that to happen as a judge but instead What can we do to keep children of drug dealers away from that kind of life.

Dems. just want anything on him. The only way they can get that is by taking things out of context.

Tomorrow there is supposed to be a few legal experts in to give their 2 cents. One of them has already come out on the news saying how Alito will weaken the Supreme Court.

I beg to differ. With Sandra's decisions (not gender) as the standard, I think Alito will do just fine.
